Today, in class, we where to find two computer advertisements and figure the best buy between the two within $150 difference. I figured its a cheap way to get the most use out of a document. Thank you Mr. Jackson !

Comparison:

As computers go, these are very similar, (if not the same) computer “weight” classifications. The difference of $100 dollars is in two factors; the first being the processor. The Dell XPS 720 has an Intel Core 2 Extreme, a processor that is the best in its model line. The second factor is its ability to take up to 8 gigabytes of RAM, giving the machine a longer overall life span, thanks to upgrades.

Most would take the $100 difference as the main selling point, but Alienware is mostly an advanced user’s machine, made to be used, tweaked, and generally “screwed around with” by the gaming community. Not to mention most of their clout is strictly aesthetic, having maintained a gimmick of making unique cases a standard.

Overall, the Dell Computer is the best buy, strictly speaking.
